Painting, music, architecture, dance, theater, movies... all the arts together.
This image depicts the festivals and village fairs that are held every year in various small towns throughout the French countryside. At these fairs one can see all types of artists, from the rankest amateur to the consummate professional.
At these fairs, there are two certainties. Everyone will be in a terrific mood and there will be a terrific mess afterward. Someone has left a toy airplane behind - someone has even left a sandwich. A bust of the classic author, Corneille, is wearing pink sunglasses. It's five minutes to four o'clock and everyone has had a grand time. Life is good. All is well.
