What is more American than the good old Drive In movie? Once again Authouart has captured a part of the essence of our American culture.
Hollywood has always been one of the focuses of Authouart. Hollywood is in large part the way the world sees and thinks of America. James Dean and Natalie Wood, cowboys and Indians, Humphrey Bogart, Fred and Ginger, Batman, Bugs Bunny and Coca-Cola - these icons are seen by people all over the world. They have been immortalized by Hollywood.
Material possessions - they seem so important at the time - they don't last. They are ephemeral in the grand scope of things. While the cars at the drive in grow old and decay, it is the ocean, the sky and the trees that endure. But, Hollywood has made it possible for film stars to endure as well.
The screens that James Dean and Natalie Wood appeared on will wear old and erode. James Dean and Natalie Wood themselves are gone, yet through the magic of Hollywood, their memories are forever and indelibly etched in our minds.
